The Reg No of this FREDERICK RHEAD pattern, 657618, dates it to 1916+, the same year that the YUAN pattern was registered. Items such as jugs, teapots and lidded sugar bowls were produced in the same attractive hexagonal shape as early YUAN, TSING and other patterns.

The most common version is a plain BLUE & WHITE transfer depicting a fence surrounded by flowers and foliage, with a pretty floral border. Items can also be found with yellow handpainted colouring, or yellow and red, over the blue transfer, and occasionally over a brown transfer instead.
