Turkish Decoration
Similar to the Mason/Ashworth Old Japan Vase or Franklin pattern, Booths' Turkish Decoration is a hard-to-find C19th pattern from the T.G & F. Booths period (1883-91), with the old diamond registration mark (No. 5556) dating the design to 1884+.
The design is handpainted over a black transfer on a creamy coloured glaze.Two colourways are found, marked on the back with one of the following small numbers, handpainted onto the printed backstamp:
• No 1873 - with red, salmon and turquoise blue enamels, and gilded detailing. Reddish-brown trim on the rim.
• No 1874 - with magenta, blue-green and yellow enamels, no gilding. Plain rim.

In remarkable condition for its age, no wear on gilding, looks new!
