WOOD & SONS - Alva (plain)
Cups and saucers
These were made in three sizes:
-Coffee (demi-tasse - smallest size. See the Woods Westover page for photos)
-Tea
-Breakfast (same shape as teacup but slightly larger)All have the elegant octagonal shape, but the top rim of the cup is circular.
Cups are often unmarked, or have a 'text' only mark (see photo R) rather than the 'urn' mark found on plates and saucers. Cup handles were made in both curved and angular shapes.
