BOOTHS - Jacobean

There are two different Booths patterns bearing this name, one of which is a plain blue & white pattern.
All the examples below are of the coloured variety, which is a completely different design.

This stunning pattern is one of Booths most exotic and luxuriously decorated lines.

There is lavish gilding, handpainted with extreme precision (four bands of gold encircle the plate; see also the detail below of gold dots on border), and an array of vibrant colours including two greens, red, purple, yellow and blue, painted on a blue transfer with none of the white body showing through.

Note the back mark, which features a logo similar to that of other BOOTHS patterns produced around this time, such as FLORA and POMPADOUR.

The border on the plates is similar to that of another exotic Booths line, Coloured MING.
