Booths – Battersea
A very pretty floral pattern with unusual colouring - the flowers are hand painted over a dark red transfer in delicate shades of pink, green, lilac, yellow, red and two shades of blue.
There's also tasteful gilding on the dark blue leaves and a double gold band on the rim.
Items are impressed with dates from the period 1917-36, and have the BOOTHS SILICON CHINA mark.
The teapot and jug in the photo shown right are based on the famous 'Worcester' shape, seen also in other Booths patterns such as Pompadour and Scale Blue.
No longer easy to find, Battersea presents a real challenge to any collector!
