These were produced in three sizes, two of which have a slot for spoon or ladle. All have the distinctive octagonal shape typical of this 1920s pattern, designed by Frederick Rhead.

Along with the large soup tureen and the covered sugar bowl, this is one of the hardest of Woods octagonal shapes to find.
